A lady washes a child visitor’s hair in water with boiled changpo, a type of iris, at the Korean Folk Village in Yongin, Gyeonggi, yesterday, a day before dano, the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. Korean tradition says the ritual of washing hair with the water wards off evil spirits. [NEWSIS]
