Homeplus said yesterday that until Aug. 6 it will be selling 100 camping products, including tents and barbecue grills, at a maximum 50 percent discount at 139 of its branches as well as on its Internet shopping mall. The camping industry has grown significantly in recent years as more families spend their weekends outdoors. The camping market has been steadily growing by about 30 percent annually in recent years and this year it is expected to be worth 600 billion won ($585.6 million), according to industry estimates.
