‘Singer’ gets holiday special

Freelance emcee Kim Sung-joo and singer Yoon Min-soo of MBC entertainment show “Dad, Where Are You Going?” will team up for another program on the same broadcasting channel over the national Chuseok holiday in September.

The two will host a special edition of the music show “I’m A Singer,” in which professional singers compete with one another.

The program will be recorded on Sept. 3 from 8 p.m. in front of the broadcasting channel’s building in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, in northwestern Seoul.

For the show, which will include some outdoor recording, along with studio shooting, many local stars have confirmed their appearances. Along with idol star Hyo-rin of girl group Sistar, rocker Kim Jong-seo, male duo Fly To The Sky and many others will perform.

However, whether or not they will perform on the outdoor stage has not yet been announced.

The competitors will first sing the songs they are best known for before covering a track of their choice.
