LG U+ introduces phone plan with unlimited calls to homes

LG U+, the nation’s No. 3 mobile carrier, said yesterday it has created a new monthly plan that provides an unlimited number of voice calls to home phone users.

For 29,000 won ($28) per month, based on a 3-year-contract, customers can make an unlimited number of wired and wireless voice calls, even to users signed up with other carriers.

Customers currently on the LG U+ mobile LTE 62 monthly plans or contracts that are more expensive can receive a discount of 8,000 won per month if they take out the new plan.

“LG U+, which pushed the price of LTE plans down by launching the unlimited LTE voice call plans, has introduced another unlimited plan for home phones, to reduce customers’ communications costs,” said Ahn Sung-joon, head of the converged home business sector at LG U+.

“We expect to provide free communication to customers with the wired and wireless unlimited monthly plans.”
