LG Chem displays its latest car, mobile batteries and BESS

LG Chem yesterday introduced its latest high-end batteries for mobile, cars and energy storage systems at the InterBattery 2014 Exhibition at Coex in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul.

The company demonstrated how the high-tech batteries can be used in daily life and displayed a series of electric vehicles installed with LG Chem batteries, such as Hyundai Motor’s Grandeur Hybrid and General Motor’s Spark EV. In its mobile device section, the company displayed IT products, including a polymer battery for tiny wearable devices, and batteries that power electric bicycles.

In the power storage system area, the company displayed the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), which enables users to preserve energy in advance then use later it whenever they might need it.
