Taemin planning 2nd album

Taemin, a member of the all-male group Shinee, is reportedly preparing to release his second solo album.

A source from SM Entertainment, which represents the 22-year-old, said this week that the singer was currently gathering songs for a solo comeback.

“He is still in the planning stages,” the official said, “and the specific details on his comeback date and the concept have not been decided yet.”

The upcoming record will be Taemin’s first since his first solo album, “ACE,” was unveiled in August 2014. His first mini album included six songs, starting with the title track “Danger.” The song’s addictive rhythms and powerful dance beats made it the best received among fans, leading it to fly up the charts.

Taemin debuted in Shinee in 2008, and with mega hits like “Replay,” “Love Like Oxygen” and “Dream Girl,” the band has earned an immense following within Korea as well as worldwide.

The act’s popularity skyrocketed when they released their new album, “Odd,” in May.

Their repackaged album, “Married to the Music,” released in August, was also critically acclaimed.
