Foreigners can now get mobile number the day they arrive
All foreigners visiting Korea can now open a cell-phone number on the day they arrive using their passport, the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning and the Ministry of Justice announced on Wednesday. Until now, foreign tourists or temporary residents had to wait until the next day.Starting today, foreigners’ entry information is directly stored within the government’s system and shared with the three carriers.
