Hyundai Motor’s $11.3 billion brand value ranked 39th place

Hyundai Motor, the nation’s leading automaker, was ranked 39th in the Best Global Brands 2015, scored by global consulting firm Interbrand with a total brand value of $11.3 billion (13.4 trillion won), the company said on Monday. The ranking for the automaker rose by one from last year and it is the company’s 11th consecutive year to be within the top 100 since it was first ranked at 84th with a brand value of $3.5 billion in 2005. This year’s brand value increased by 8.5 percent from last year’s $10.4 billion.

The auto giant beat other global rivals and this year’s brand value was the seventh among global automakers. The company said its brand value has increased by an average of 18 percent since 2011.

Hyundai Motor is one of the few companies whose brand value has been consistently increasing.
