Yuri breaks up with pitcher Oh Seung-hwan
Yuri from the K-pop group Girls’ Generation broke up with Hanshin Tigers pitcher Oh Seung-hwan.
SM Entertainment, the 26-year-old singer’s agency, confirmed news reports about the breakup on Thursday.
Paparazzi photos of the two dating were published by a local news agency last April, and the two instantly confirmed the news and said they got to know each other through a gathering of mutual friends.
Several other members of the 10-member girl group also broke up with their boyfriends earlier this year.
Tiffany, Yoona and Taeyeon all broke up with their celebrity boyfriends, but Sooyoung is still seeing her actor boyfriend, Chung Kyung-ho.
Girls’ Generation broke into the music scene in 2007 and has had numerous hits such as “Gee,” “Genie” and “Oh Boy.”
