Rising stars iKon plan events in Daegu, BusanNewbie K-pop group iKon will hold autograph-signing events in Daegu and Busan.
YG Entertainment, the seven-member boy group’s agency, said on Wednesday that the events will be held at the Daegu branch of Hyundai Department Store at 1 p.m. on Nov. 14 and at Lotte Cinema Centum City in Busan at 7 p.m. that day.
YG said the events commemorate the release of the group’s debut album, “Welcome Back,” which came out in early October. The group already held three autograph-signing events in Seoul.
Along with the autograph signing, there will be pop-up stores dedicated to the group at the Daegu and Busan branches of Hyundai Department Store. Various iKon merchandise such as mugs, caps, cushions and stickers will be available at the pop-up stores, which will be open from Friday through Nov. 12.
The boy group is slated to release another mini-album on Nov. 16. A regular album is also planned for release on Dec. 14.
Although iKon just debuted on the music scene a month ago, it has a huge fan base both within and outside the country.
The boy group held its debut concert at Seoul Olympic Park, which is a large venue for a budding K-pop act, and successfully attracted 13,000 fans.
