LS Cables inks North America deals worth over $100 million

LS Cables & Systems inked two marine cable supply deals, one in the United States and another in Canada, worth over $100 million, according to the company on Thursday.

The U.S. bid, worth $47 million, was from the New York Power Authority to install marine cable under Lake Champlain, located between the New York and Vermont.

The deal with Canada, worth $54 million, was to connect the marine cable from the Canadian mainland to Prince Edward Island in the southeastern part of the county to supply electricity.

The company owns the only marine cable manufacturing factory in Korea - also the largest in size among factories in Asian countries - which is located in Donghae, Gangwon.
