Twice’s Tzuyu appears on TV in profane shirt

테스트

Tzuyu, a Taiwanese member of the K-pop girl group Twice, is again at the center of controversy.

Tzuyu’s agency, JYP Entertainment, issued a public apology Tuesday for the star’s selection of outfit during the group’s performance Sunday on SBS’s “Inkigayo.”

“The agency apologizes to fans for not checking thoroughly and promises to prevent such a mistake from occurring again,” JYP Entertainment said.

A statement on the white T-shirt that Tzuyu wore onstage read, “Hoes take off your clothes.”

The outfit quickly went viral in the online community and precipitated heated debate.

The 16-year-old singer has already been under public fire after waving a Taiwanese flag on the reality TV program “My Little Television” in November. Due to the political conflict between Taiwan and mainland China, Tzuyu’s act was covered heavily by Chinese media and eventually led to backlash from Chinese fans.

The celebrity issued an apology to Chinese fans, which raised further controversy in Korea over unfair treatment.
