Orioles’ Kim scores a run against Kansas City Royals
Baltimore Orioles’ Kim Hyun-soo went 2-for-5 and scored a run on Wednesday in a Major League Baseball game against the Kansas City Royals.
Kim’s first hit came in the bottom of the first when he singled a 97-mile-per-hour two-seam fastball by Yordano Ventura. Ventura’s ball travelled to the outside, throwing off Kim’s balance during his swing. But Kim was still able to make solid contact with the ball, sending it to left field.
Kim’s batting average increased slightly to .378. The Orioles defeated the Royals 9-1.

Spain falls to Georgia ahead of European Championship
MADRID - Spain lost 1-0 to Georgia at home on Tuesday in its final warmup before heading to France to defend its European Championship title.
Spain dominated from the start but failed to capitalize on its scoring chances, while Georgia took its only significant chance, following a blunder by Spain’s defense.
Midfielder Tornike Okriashvili scored the winner in the 40th after a bad pass by Jordi Alba led to a counterattack.
It was the first time coach Vicente Del Bosque had all of his players available, including the four from Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid who joined late because they played in the Champions League final.
