‘New Journey’ to start season three
tvN variety show “New Journey to the West” will return with a new season.
According to the producers of the show on Tuesday, filming will begin on Oct. 24 in Korea, and the schedule for shooting in China has not been decided yet.
The show previously made headlines for bringing together the original cast and producer of the first season of popular KBS2 variety show “1 Night 2 Days,” which is often referred to as the golden era for the cast members.
Although singer Lee Seung-gi could not participate in the show since season two due to his mandatory military duties, the remaining cast, consisting of comedians Kang Ho-dong, Lee Soo-geun and singer Eun Ji-won, was joined by actor Ahn Jae-hyun. These four members will return alongside producer Na Young-seok for the new season.
Episodes for the show will be uploaded online before airing on television. It will appear on various internet platforms including Naver TV Cast, Kakao TV and tvNgo.
