Lotte Duty Free promotes new home, Songpa DistrictLotte Duty Free developed a film about tourist sites in Songpa District, southern Seoul, and donated it to the district office on Friday.
The company plans to make multilingual menu boards for the district’s restaurants and a guide book that introduces famous eateries in the area, in collaboration with the Songpa District Office.
The two inked a memorandum of understanding on Friday under the initiative to jointly focus on improving the tourism industry of Songpa District, where Lotte Duty Free proposed to establish a branch when it filed for an operation license with the government last month.
The video, which is Lotte’s first product for the project, features K-pop celebrities, including members of Exo and Super Junior, both popular boy bands among Asian countries and official models for Lotte Duty Free. The four-minute video shows them spending time at Seokchon Lake, Olympic Park, Garak Market, Lotte World Tower and Mall and other places.
“Our goal is to make Songpa into one of Seoul’s cultural centers,” said Jang Sun-wook, CEO of Lotte Duty Free.
