It turned out that rival companies hired fake comment writers to denounce certain instructors.
3) “The paid workers were told to upload 130 comments, each slandering the rival institutes.”
Last month, a popular instructor, Sabjaru (Woo Hyung-chul), talked about the reality of fake commenters.
4) “To who tips me off about it, I will pay one billion won ($879,150).”
He tried to identify them, offering even a billion won as a reward.
5) The fake commenters mobilized every possible method they could to avoid being caught.
6) After buying thousands of fake IDs, they wrote comments using different IDs one by one.
7) They even tried to socialize in the community to hide their real purpose, sharing not only lecture information but also their hobbies.
8) The examinees have to bear the disadvantages generated by the fake information.
9) They are very sensitive about such information, as they seek better instructors so they can raise their test scores by just one point.

“It happened inside the marketing department.”
The companies issued apologies later on, but they all insist they don’t bear any responsibility.
12) No legal means of regulation exists, as there are no laws particularly for these attacks. Instead, a mere correction order was sent out.
13) The legal system is not effective at fighting fake commenters. Rather, the system only worsened the situation, as using fake accounts to attack other schools has now been solidified as a practice in the Korean private education industry.
14) Education companies treat students as means of earning money, not people to be educated.
