‘A Korean Odyssey’ production put on hold

테스트

Cable channel tvN’s drama “A Korean Odyssey” will take a break this week in order to evaluate the production process of the program, the network announced Friday.

The show’s second episode, which aired on Sunday, was mired in technical difficulties. The drama was interrupted by long unscheduled advertisement breaks and stopped airing before the episode had completed.

Additionally, the episode featured scenes that had not been finalized in post-production.

The drama has been criticized for rushing its production. On Tuesday, it was reported that a staff member had fallen while installing a chandelier, breaking his back and leaving his lower body paralyzed.

The statement from the company read, “In order to improve the working environment of the drama, we will add more personnel and go through a safety check of the studio.”

Featuring actors Lee Seung-gi, pictured, and Cha Seung-won, the drama has been highly-anticipated by fans as it is Lee’s first role since he was discharged from the Army in October.
