Kang Tae-gu accused of harassment
Folk singer Kang Tae-gu’s ex-girlfriend, whose name has not been identified, accused Kang of harassment in a post on social media last Friday.According to her post, throughout their three-and-a-half-year relationship, Kang constantly criticized her outfits and makeup in order to make her feel ashamed and forced her to watch porn. Even after their breakup, Kang would frequently demand intercourse from her. Because of his unending abuse, she ended up being admitted to the hospital for depression.
On the same day of her post, Kang responded with an apology, saying, “I want to talk with you and give you the apology you deserve.”
Meanwhile, with the rising issue of stalking and dating violence, the government came up with comprehensive countermeasures against stalking on Feb. 22 to increase the punishment for offenders and strengthen protection for victims.
