Boryo is a versatile traditional Korean mattress that was widely used in traditional Korean homes. Arumjigi, a nonprofit organization founded to protect and preserve traditional Korean culture, worked with Shinsegae International’s retail brand JAJU to reinterpret the traditional mattress for modern living and produced “Korean modern BORYO,” above. The portable couch - composed of five modules - recently won the prestigious 2018 iF Design Award in the Home Furniture section. [ARUMJIGI]
