Hyundai Motor, Cadillac issue recalls for cars

Hyundai Motor and the importer of General Motors’ premium Cadillac models will voluntarily recall vehicles to fix faulty parts, the transport ministry said Wednesday.

It is the latest in a series of recalls by carmakers and importers to ensure vehicles meet safety requirements.

The two companies plan to recall two different models totaling 2,833 vehicles. The models are Hyundai’s Sonata midsize sedan and the Cadillac CT6 sedan, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said in a statement.

The problems to be fixed are the Sonata’s malfunctioning air bag system and Cadillac’s car seats, the statement said.
