Raley’s $1.7 million contract will see him play his fifth season in the KBO in 2019, becoming the first foreign player in Giants history to do so. Throughout the 2018 season, Raley was a crucial pitcher in the Giants’ starting rotation, picking up 11 wins and 13 losses with a 4.74 ERA.
Throughout Raley’s four seasons with the Giants, he’s picked up 43 wins and 39 losses with a 4.19 ERA in 122 games.
While the Giants re-signed Raley, they also made a new addition, signing a one-year contract with Thompson at $900,000. Thompson was first drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the second round of the 2012 MLB draft, but he didn’t make his major league debut until 2016 with the Philadelphia Phillies. Throughout three seasons with the Phillies, Thompson picked up seven wins and eight losses with a 4.87 ERA.
