A new six-member girl group will make their debut under the name ARIAZ in October, the agency Rising Star announced on Monday.
According to Rising Star, a sub-label of entertainment agency Star Empire, ARIAZ will start their career in October with a first album, the date and title not decided yet.
“Each member of the group will sing in harmony with their own distinct voices,” the agency said.
Members include Yunji, Dawon, Sihyeon, Yeori, Hyogyeong and Jueun. Of the six, Yunji and Sihyeon participated in the first season of Mnet’s audition program “Produce 101” in 2016. Hyogyeong participated in JTBC’s “Mixnine” in 2017.
“ARIAZ has gone through seven years of thorough training, through which they have grown into a group with skills and content different from other rookie groups,” the agency said.
Star Empire previously launched boy band ZE:A, also known as Children of Empire, and girl groups Nine Muses and Jewelry.
