Breaking barriers

테스트

Hyundai Oilbank CEO Kang Dal-ho, center, poses with company officials and movie directors at the company’s headquarters in central Seoul, Tuesday, to celebrate the signing of an understanding with the Directors Guild of Korea to create two “barrier-free” movies this year.

Barrier-free movies show subtitles and offer explanations in the movie for people with visual or hearing impairments.

The movies will be shown for free in rural areas where the percentage of elderly people and multi-cultural families are high and entertainment is scarce for people with disabilities.

The guild’s directors will also speak at the screenings. Hyundai will aid the production of two movies this year and plans to support two to three more next year. [HYUNDAI OILBANK]
