Hwang Kyo-ahn, chairman of the opposition Liberty Korea Party, started a hunger strike near the Blue House Wednesday to demand President Moon Jae-in not withdraw from a security pact with Japan, give up the idea of a new investigative body to probe high-ranking officials and retract a plan to revise the election law. On Tuesday, Moon conducted a town hall-style meeting that was nationally televised.
