2020 KBO season set to start on Saturday, March 28th

For the third straight season since 2018, the KBO’s regular season will start on a Saturday.
The five opening games will be held at the homes of the top five teams of the 2019 regular season. The Lotte Giants will play against the Doosan Bears in Jamsil, southern Seoul, the LG Twins will play against the Kiwoom Heroes at Gocheok Sky Dome, western Seoul, while the Samsung Lions will be traveling to Incheon to play against the SK Wyverns.
The Hanwha Eagles will host the KT Wiz in Daejeon and the Kia Tigers will host the NC Dinos in Gwangju.
They’ll play a two-game series over the weekend and each team will play a total of 144 games throughout the season.
Prior to the start of the regular season, exhibition games will be held from Mar. 14 to 24.
The regular season will take a break from July 24 to Aug. 10 while the Tokyo Olympics are being held.
On Children’s day, May 5, the Jamsil derby will be held between the Bears and the Twins while the Eagles will head to Incheon to play against the Wyverns. The Giants will play against the Wiz in Suwon, the Dinos will play against the Lions in Daegu and the Heroes will be heading to Gwangju to play against the Tigers.
