CapitaLand’s wholly owned lodging business unit, The Ascott Limited (Ascott) formally assumed full operational control of the Bundang JS Hotel on Jul. 12, 2019, undertaking complete responsibility for its operations and management.

Ascott is one of the leading international lodging owner-operators, with a portfolio including serviced residences and hotels spanning more than 180 cities across over 30 countries in the Asia Pacific, Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the United States.

The upcoming debut of Somerset Central Bundang is Ascott’s fourth property in Korea, marking its growing presence in the country alongside Somerset Palace Seoul, Citadines Haeundae Busan and Somerset Jeju Shinhwa World.

Somerset Central Bundang is located in the heart of Bundang, Gyeonggi, and within the Central Business District, one of Korea’s wealthiest and most developed areas.

Shopping malls, supermarkets, international schools, hospitals and entertainment venues, including Bundang’s top shopping complex AK Plaza, and multiplex theaters are also within walking distance or a short drive away.

Nearby places of leisure include Bundang Central Park, Hwangsaeul Park, Tancheon Stream, Sangnoksu Square, Seongnam Arts Center, Namhan Mountain Fortress, the Seongnam Outdoor Concert Hall and Everland.

Pangyo Techno Valley, the Silicon Valley of Korea and an industrial complex focused on information technology, biotech, cultural technology and fusion technology, is less than a 10 minute drive away.

Somerset Central Bundang is located where city life and tranquil natural surroundings meet; ideal for both corporate and leisure travelers looking to enjoy their time in a pulsating city.

With proximity to an excellent transportation network, Somerset Central Bundang has easy access to numerous expressways and various modes of transportation.

It is a mere three-minute walk to Seohyeon Station (exit 4), and downtown Gangnam can be reached within 30 minutes by car.

The urban center of Seoul and both Gimpo and Incheon airports can be reached easily and comfortably by means of regular bus services, the express city bus and airport bus.

Numerous expressways, including the Bundang-Suseo Expressway, the Bundang-Nagok Expressway, the Gyeongbu Expressway, and the Beltway around Seoul are also close, making transportation by car convenient.

Somerset Central Bundang will have 206 fully-furnished units, comprised of studios and one bedroom suites. All one bedroom suites have a fully-finished kitchenette, living area and working space, while thirty Studio Premier units each have a dry pantry, equipped with a microwave, toaster, utensils and cutlery.

Each unit is equipped with premium amenities such as satellite and cable TV, capsule coffee espresso machines, dual handheld and rain showers and a free Wi-Fi connection.

The property will also feature facilities such as a residents’ lounge, a restaurant, function and meeting spaces, self-service laundry and a fully equipped gym.
