Through March 15, only on Fridays to Sundays: Welcoming the Valentine’s Day and White Day season, the Lobby Lounge, located on the ground floor of Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas, presents “Ruby Chocolate Special,” a promotion that gives away diamond-shaped ruby jewelry chocolate and the Lobby Lounge’s signature dessert featuring ruby chocolate from Callebaut. “Strawberry Gourmet Boutique,” the popular strawberry dessert buffet currently running, accommodates the promotion for a limited time only for five weeks, from Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, to the White Day week ending on March 15. On Valentine’s Day, it will be available at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Ruby chocolate, newly introduced to Korea at the end of last year, is the fourth type of chocolate officially approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2019, following dark, milk and white chocolate, and is the newest addition to the range in 80 years. Made without artificial colors, ruby chocolate has a natural red and pink shade and boasts a refreshing fruity aroma thanks to the unique natural elements in the ruby cacao bean. The popularity comes from its ruby-pink color and special flavors, and it is gaining increasing recognition as an ingredient of various desserts.
“Ruby Chocolate Special” will be available from the 14th of February as an addition to the existing three-course meal and strawberry dessert buffet “Strawberry Gourmet Boutique.” Ruby eclair, a choux pastry filled with and coated with ruby chocolate; royal chamomile white chocolate mousse topped with ruby chocolate Chantilly cream; ruby panna cotta, with layers of ruby chocolate; ruby tart, filled with ruby chocolate ganache and topped with strawberries; and ruby blondie bar, a cake baked with ruby chocolate, are offered. Ruby hot chocolate, which has a lovely ruby-pink color, is also optionally available.
Ruby jewelry chocolate is available only on Valentine’s Day and White Day and is diamond-shaped and expected to get a great response from customers due to its limited time availability.
“Ruby Chocolate Special” , held by “Strawberry Gourmet Boutique” at the Lobby Lounge from Friday to Sunday for five weeks starting Feb. 14, is available at the same price, 69,000 won per person.
