Hyundai's Genesis hosts drive-in theaters for customers
Genesis, the luxury division of Hyundai Motor Group, has organized drive-in theaters for its customers over the last two weekends to provide them with a safe haven to enjoy cultural activities in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the brand reported Monday.
On May 29 to 31, the event, under the title “Genesis Cinema,” was held in the parking lot of Yongin Citizen Sports Park in Yongin, Gyeonggi, and Jayuro drive-in theater in Paju, Gyeonggi, and from June 5 to 7 in Bexco parking lot in Busan. They screened four films — “Architecture 101” (2012), “A Dog’s Purpose” (2018), “A Better Tomorrow” (1987) and “Judy” (2020).
“Genesis Cinema” invited approximately 3,000 customers who were drawn randomly from a list of Genesis owners and those on the waiting list for its latest model GV80 and G80.
To prevent infection, the company reported that each place was disinfected six times a day and sanitizer and cleansing tissues were handed out to all the customers.
“In the future, we will continue to provide such special services for our customers to live up to our reputation as a premium brand,” an insider from Genesis reported.
