The KF Online World Cinema Week 2020 kicks off today on Naver TV, screening seven films from seven countries for 10 days until Dec. 13.

Co-hosted by the Korea Foundation (KF) and seven embassies in Korea — Bulgaria, Colombia, Egypt, Jordan, Peru, Russia and Turkey — the cinema week is being held under the goal of providing "a window to the world and to encourage cultural exchanges and global cooperation."

The seven films are: "Letters from Antarctica" (2019) from Bulgaria, "The Birders: A Melodic Journey through Northern Colombia" (2019) from Colombia, "Photocopy" (2017) from Egypt, "Captain Abu Raed" (2017) from Jordan, "Sigo Siendo" (2013) from Peru, "The White Nights" (2017) from Russia and "Commitment-Asli" (2019) from Turkey.

A special talk session was held on Dec. 1, featuring writers Kang Young-suk, Ha Seong-nan and Jo Hye-sun, who sat down to talk about the seven films based on travelling, literature and coffee.

The directors of each film have also recorded commentary, as well as the ambassadors of each embassy, which will be released on Naver.

Details can be found at the festival's website, kfworldcinemaweek.or.kr
