Big Hit Entertainment moved into its new headquarters building in Yongsan, central Seoul, ahead of the launch of its new identity as entertainment lifestyle platform company HYBE on March 30.

The entertainment company announced on Monday that it has officially moved to the new 19-story building, which now houses 1,000 employees from Big Hit Labels — the current name for the affiliates and sub-labels signed to Big Hit Entertainment.

Under HYBE, three business units will exist — HYBE Labels, HYBE Solutions and HYBE Platforms. HYBE Labels includes Big Hit Music, Belift Lab, Source Music, Pledis Entertainment, Koz Entertainment and HYBE Labels Japan. Each label will maintain its independence and continue to care for its associated artists as they did before.

HYBE Solutions and HYBE Platforms will be merchandizing secondary businesses stemming from the label’s creative output, such as related intellectual property and fan community Weverse, according to a presentation video Big Hit Entertainment uploaded on Friday.

HYBE aims to establish itself as a music-based entertainment lifestyle platform, which will work to provide various entertainment and lifestyle content for people to enjoy, going a step further than just an entertainment agency that revolves around individual musicians.

“The identity of Big Hit Entertainment will live on as ‘Big Hit Music’ as a label that makes up HYBE,” Big Hit chief executive Bang Si-hyuk said on Friday.

Big Hit Entertainment also released photographs of inside the new building's offices, lobbies and halls.

"A space brings about attitude, and attitude brings about value and culture," said chief brand officer Min Hee-jin. "We have designed the building so that each and every constituent can get inspired and feel relaxed. We believe that a space and culture that ensures the maximum level of freedom will create a new company value."

Big Hit Entertainment will hold a shareholders meeting on March 30 and officially change its name to HYBE with the shareholders' consent.
