KB Financial Group to support 2021 P4G Seoul Summit

KB Financial Group on Tuesday signed partnership with a preparation committee for a green growth conference to be held in Seoul in May, promising promotion and support for the gathering.

The "2021 P4G Seoul Summit" will take place for two days from May 30 in Korea.

P4G is short for Partnering for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030. It is a global initiative to tackle climate change involving 12 countries, including Korea, Denmark, and South Africa, as well as international organizations and private companies.

The Seoul-based financial group will air promotional videos and run online campaigns to promote the event to the public under the signed partnership.

It hopes to promote its own efforts to fight climate change to global communities by supporting the P4G summit.

The group announced last year that it will cut carbon emissions by 25 percent by 2030, compared to 2017 levels, as part of its efforts to align with the government-led carbon neutrality drive.
