YG Entertainment will open the doors of its multi-purpose cafe space named "the SameE" on Tuesday, as a way of "keeping the promise to build a separate space for fans" in a building right opposite the agency's newly-built headquarters in Hapjeong, western Seoul.

According to the agency, the cafe will connect fans with artists, and allow visitors to enjoy beverages as well as buy the agency's merchandise or hold exhibitions or other events.

The project started from the slogan, "Fans are the alter-egos of artists." The name of the cafe means that artists and fans can stay at "the same" space at the same time.

"Fans will now be able to use the services offered within our space without struggling in the heat or cold when they visit our artists," YG Entertainment said.

"We plan to share more with fans through 'the SameE' under the idea that artists exist because of fans and that fans are alter-egos of artists."

YG Entertainment is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The company completed the construction of its new headquarters last year and moved in August.
