Roh Tae-moon, chief of Samsung Electronics’ mobile division, gave some hints about the soon-to-be-released Galaxy S22 smartphone, saying it is the “smartest” product yet in the Galaxy S series.

“It is at the epicenter of the best mobile experiences and will be the most attention-receiving product in the Galaxy S series,” Roh said in a letter posted on the company website Friday.

“Users of the new product will be able to confidently take photos and film videos clearly at night, and will enjoy its strong battery, speed and useful functions."

The Galaxy S22 is slated to launch in February. It is believed that the new model will be the de facto replacement for Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy Note series, which didn’t launch a new model last year.

Roh hinted that the S22 will inherit some features of the Note series, such as its large screen and an S Pen stylus.

“We are aware that there were fans of Galaxy Note and its S Pen, which allowed for creative and efficient works,” Roh said.

“We are listening to those customers carefully.”
