McNuggets are McDonald’s iconic side menu item characterized by their crispy and moist texture. This bite-sized dish is beloved by customers around the world since people of all ages can enjoy it anywhere and at any time. McNuggets were particularly well received by customers after being included in the “BTS Set,” which drew a lot of attention around the world last year. During the sales period of the BTS Set, the average daily sales of McNuggets in Korea increased 250 percent from the daily average of the four weeks before its release.

Spicy McNuggets, a new menu introduced by McDonald’s Korea, tune into the taste of Korean consumers with a hot and crispy taste created using a blend that includes cayenne pepper. The menu item previously had a limited release in the U.S. in 2020, earning popularity as seen with customer responses such as “McDonald’s is undoubtedly the boss of nuggets,” and “The perfect harmony of spicy taste with crisp texture and juices.”

Along with Spicy McNuggets, “Orange Chili Sauce” developed in Korea was also released. Orange Chili Sauce is a chili sauce with the added sweetness and tanginess of orange. The sauce is the perfect accompaniment for Spicy McNuggets.

Spicy McNuggets will be sold at McDonald’s nationwide from Feb. 4 until early May. Four pieces will be priced at 1,800 ($1.08), 3,000 won for six pieces and 4,500 won for ten pieces.

“Spicy McNuggets is the nation’s first Mcnuggets with a new taste and we expect it to bring new pleasure to our customers,” an official at McDonald’s Korea said, adding “We will try our best to introduce various new menu items and services in the future.”
