Just a day before President Moon Jae-in’s first meeting with President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol after his election victory on March 9, a group of hard-line lawmakers from the ruling Democratic Party (DP) proposed a bill to appoint a special prosecutor to look into Yoon’s possible abuse of power as a prosecutor and into possible fraud involving his wife and mother-in-law.
