Huons Group says management evolution is complete
Huons Group announced Friday it appointed Song Soo-young CEO of Huons Global and Kim Jun-cheol CEO of HuM&C.
Huons Global is a pharmaceutical company owned 43.72 percent by Yoon Sung-tae, the new chairman of Huons Group, also appointed Friday. HuM&C, a cosmetic tools company formerly known as Huons Blossom, is owned 57.09 percent by Huons Global.
According to Huons Group, all of its nine affiliates now have professional CEOs, rather than members of a family.
“Huons Group achieved significant growth under family management in the past through stabilizing business and fast decision making,” said a spokesperson for Huons Group. “A new era is coming, and we are planning to change the management structure of our holdings company Huons Global and appointed a new CEO for HuM&C.”
The company says its new leaders will reform the corporate culture to increase brand competitiveness and encourage the best performances from their employees.
“We will carry out reforms in the company so Huons Group companies can continue to develop in a new era after the pandemic and in the fourth industrial revolution,” said Song Soo-young, CEO of Huons Global. “We will develop the company into a global healthcare group.”
Yoon Sung-tae was named chairman of Huons Group on Friday. Yoon will also serve as the chairman of Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association until 2023.
