Minimum-wage meeting
Representatives of labor, business and the public gather in Seoul to hold the first meeting on this round of minimum wage discussions on Tuesday. The Minimum Wage Commission, with 27 members, has to decide next year’s minimum wage by Aug. 5. The decision will be made under the Yoon Suk-yeol’s administration. Over the last five years under the Moon Jae-in government, minimum wages have gone up more than 40 percent to 9,160 won per hour. [JOINT PRESS CORPS]
