Hanjin Transportation plans to expand its overseas logistics business, aiming for global sales of 1 trillion won ($791 million) in 2025.

The logistics company logged global sales of 375.5 billion won in 2021, up 53 percent on year, and plans to keep growing to reach 1 trillion won in 2025.

It has a positive outlook, saying it will continue to grow as there will be high demand for deliveries as the world recovers from the pandemic.

The company will develop a digital forwarding system, allowing its overseas corporate customers to automatically calculate the price for delivery orders online.

Customers will also be able to manage and track orders on the service once developed.

It plans to offer more road feeder services (RFS) to foreign airlines, aiming to get more deals to transport air freight cargo unloaded at airports to their destinations by Hanjin Transportation trucks. There will be more investment in infrastructure at its Global Distribution Center at Incheon International Airport to deliver more e-commerce orders incoming from overseas and those transported from local logistic hubs to carrier's cargo flights.

The company announced it recently expanded its warehouse in Los Angeles, and that its U.S. subsidiary will focus on transporting more orders for local third party e-commerce companies.

A branch will be established in Poland within this year, aiming to handle more deliveries in the country. More logistics hubs will be built in Asian countries, including Thailand and Singapore.
