After Ahn Cheol-soo, former chair of President-elect Yoon Suk-yeol’s transition committee, declared his intention to run in a by-election for a Bundang district citing his company’s location there, Lee Jae-myung, former presidential candidate from the Democratic Party (DP), apparently plans to run in a by-election for a district in Incheon to defend against possible investigations into accusations against him to take advantage of the privilege of no arrest if the majority party does not approve it.
