Palme d’Or winner Hirokazu Kore-eda, behind the 2018 film “Shoplifters,” directed his first Korean-language film “Broker,” which is slated for release in local theaters on June 8. “Broker” is also set to compete for the Palme d’Or at the upcoming 75th Cannes Film Festival.
The film revolves around a baby box, where babies can be anonymously dropped off to be cared for by others.
