Micro Brewery Korea will soon sell its Oktoberfest Weizen beer at convenience stores nationwide.

The craft brewery announced that the Oktoberfest Weizen beer will be sold at five convenience store chains — GS25, CU, 7-Eleven, Ministop and Emart24 — starting Wednesday.

Micro Brewery Korea says Oktoberfest Weizen is a type of wheat beer with hints of caramel and banana. It has an alcohol content of 4.5 percent.

The beer won the highest Gold Can award among 72 other contenders in a craft beer contest hosted by Lotte Chilsung Beverage in 2021. According to the company, the judges well-received the beer’s light and subtle fruity taste.

The company also runs the beer pub Oktoberfest held in Jongno District, central Seoul.
