Samyang Group to start year-round recruitment

Samyang Group announced Thursday that it will begin hiring employees as required throughout the year, moving away from the traditional chaebol recruitment process of formal batch recruitment drives held periodically throughout the year.
 
The change marks the first time in 57 years that Samyang Group has dropped the batch recruitment process, known as open recruitment, which typically sees a large number of candidates taking a series of general tests before being hired into the company, rather than apply for specific positions based.

 
Following this announcement, Samyang Holdings plans to post available jobs on a monthly basis, starting this month.
 
As part of the shift in hiring focus, Samyang is also introducing two new recruitment systems. The first, dubbed "junior career" focuses on hiring people with less than three years of experience, while the second rewards existing employees if somebody they recommend is recruited.
 

“We hired 50 new employees in the last open recruitment round held in the first half of this year,” said an official from Samyang Group. “Even after we transition to a year-round selection method, the size of recruitment will remain the same.”
