New Covid-19 cases at 44,689 on Monday

New confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Korea recorded 44,689 on Monday, an increase of more than 8,800 from the same day the previous week.
Although the number of confirmed cases has fallen significantly from Friday’s 85,320, the average of confirmed cases in the past week remains high at 81,925.
Two-hundred and eighty-seven patients were critically ill and 21 people died. The accumulative total of confirmed cases in Korea is nearing the 20,000,000 mark, currently standing at 19,820,739.
