Insurers received 11,000 reports of cars damaged by floods

Over 11,000 reports of vehicles flooded from the record heavy rains were filed as of Wednesday morning. 
 
According to the General Insurance Association of Korea, 11,488 reports were made to 12 insurance companies in Korea since Aug. 8, up 346 in a day.
 
The estimated loss is around 162 billion won ($123 million).
 
Of the reported number of cases, 33 percent were for imported cars.  
 
Record-breaking rains swept across the country causing floods in various parts of the nation, including Seoul and Gyeonggi, last week.
