A woman believed to be related to two children who were found dead in suitcases in New Zealand last week is reported to be in Korea.

According to local media reports, police in New Zealand have requested the assistance of local police to track down the woman who is believed to be the mother of the two children.

Records show the woman, who is a citizen of New Zealand, arrived in Korea in 2018. There are no records of her departure.

The bodies of the two children, who were believed to be aged five and 10 at the time of their deaths, were discovered in two suitcases by a family who purchased them from an online auction from a storage facilty. Authorities estimate the bodies had been in the suitcases for three to four years.
