Prices of processed meat products will soon rise, various Korean food companies announced Thursday.

The price rise, which follows Nongshim’s decision on Wednesday to increase the prices of its ramyeon and snacks, was decided on due to factors including the sharp rise in the cost of raw ingredients.

Sajo will raise the price of its packaged chicken breasts at convenience stores by 12.1 percent, from the current 3,300 won ($2.47) to 3,700 won starting next month.

Harim will also up the price of its chicken breast product by 8.8 percent from 3,400 won to 3,700 won.

CJ CheilJedang increased the price of Spam this month by 6.7 percent.
