Genesis BBQ chicken to be offered at London East Asia Film Festival

Genesis BBQ will showcase its fried chicken at the London East Asia Film Festival, which runs through Oct. 30.

At the opening gala of the film festival on Wednesday, director and actor Lee Jung-jae will hold a Q. and A. session for his new film “Hunt.”

During the event, Genesis BBQ will offer six varieties of its chicken, including the gold olive chicken and black pepper chicken.

The company will host its bbq Night at Leicester Square on Thursday, again offering its fried chicken to attendees. Some 200 actors such as Yim Si-wan from “Emergency Declaration” (2021) and Lee Jung-eun from “Parasite” (2019) will be attending.

Visitors to The Cinema at Selfridges and Chiswick Cinema, theaters that screen movies during the film festival, will be able to enjoy free samples of BB.Q Chicken’s honey garlic chicken wings through the end of the festival.

“We participated as a sponsor of the event to allow movie lovers around the world to try BB.Q Chicken themselves, which have been shown across media through shows like ‘Crash Landing on You’ [2020] and ‘Guardian: The Lonely and Great God’ [2017],” said a spokesperson for Genesis BBQ. “The United Kingdom is a key country in the European restaurant business market, and we plan on expanding our overseas business with a focus on the country.”
