Korean Air Lines flight leaves for Cebu to repatriate passengers

Korean Air Lines flights bound for Mactan-Cebu International Airport Tuesday [YONHAP]
Korean Air Lines has sent a plane to Mactan-Cebu International Airport to pick up passengers following the crash of one of the company's Airbus A330-300s two days earlier.
The flight departed Incheon International Airport at 12:33 p.m., according to Korean Air Lines Tuesday. It will return at 4:20 p.m. and arrive Incheon at 9:40 p.m.
About 100 passengers will be on the flight.
The flight was originally scheduled to depart Incheon at 10 a.m. today, but approvals were delayed.
Mactan-Cebu International Airport will be open for flights during the daytime only, from 5 a.m. to 4:59 p.m., from Oct. 25 to Nov. 7.
The Korean Air Lines A330-300 overran the runway at Mactan-Cebu International Airport at 11:07 p.m. on Oct, 23, after making two failed attempts to land.
There were 162 passengers on board, along with 11 cabin crew, and no one was injured.
Jeju Air sent a flight at 12:25 p.m. the same day to carry 177 passengers waiting at the airport due to flight delays. Another 156 passengers booked on a Jin Air flight will return on a plane sent to the Philippines at 12:09 p.m.
