Korea’s current account registers $1.61 billion surplus in September
Korea’s current account registered a $1.61 billion surplus in September.
The goods surplus shrunk to $490 million in September compared to the $9.55 billion a year earlier, according to the Bank of Korea’s preliminary data Tuesday.
The services account deficit grew to $340 million from $60 million in the same period due to a decline in the transport account surplus.
The primary income account surplus grew from $1.13 billion to $1.84 billion in the same period as income on equity increased.
