LG Household & Health Care appoints first female CEO

LG Household & Health Care, a cosmetics and household goods maker, named Lee Jung-ae as CEO. She is the first woman to be named chief executive of the company.  
 
She will replace Cha Suk-yong, who headed LG Household & Health Care for 18 years. The new appointment will be effective Dec. 1.  
 
"Lee has a good understanding of all business areas of the company, from cosmetics to beverages and household goods," the company said in a statement.
 
As a veteran marketer, Lee spearheaded the global growth of LG Household & Health Care's luxury cosmetic brands, such as O Hui and Whoo, since 2015. The Whoo brand alone broke 1 trillion won ($754.6 million) in annual revenue a year later, the company explained.
 
Since 2019, Lee had been the head of marketing of the company's beverage products, such as Coca-Cola and Seagram's carbonated water.

LG CNS appointed Hyun Shin-kyun, vice president of the tech service company, as CEO.  
 
Hyun is credited with well-rounded expertise in high-tech areas like artificial intelligence, big data and cloud computing.  
 
He entered LG Display in 2010 as senior managing director and moved to LG CNS in 2017 with the title of chief technology officer.  
 
LG Electronics, LG Chem, LG Energy Solution, LG U+ and LG Innotek maintained current CEOs and limited personnel changes to those at the president level and below.

LG Electronics promoted Lyu Jae-cheol, head of the Home Appliance & Air Solution (H&A) division, to president. Lyu began his career at LG Electronics in 1989 and took various roles including research and development and production departments.
 
Eun Seok-hyun, head of the vehicle component division, became a vice president. The electronics maker recognized Eun’s role in improving financial performance of the business. The LG Electronics vehicle component division turned to a profit in the second quarter.  
 
LG Chem appointed Cha Dong-seok president as he played a critical role in spearheading major mergers and acquisitions.
